Perception Hits Kickstarter Goal!

PerceptionIt looks like Perception, the horror game created by former Bioshock and Dead Space developers, will be coming to a PC near you as the Kickstarter has reached its goal with as little as a day left.

At the time of writing, the crowdfunding campaign has reached $161,788 of its $150,000 goal, and will likely get a little more before it ends in 24 hours. It also looks likely that it will reach the Localization goal adding Russian, German, French, Spanish, Japanese and Portuguese subtitles. Sadly, It only looks like it will be coming to PC, as it failed to reach further goals for Xbox and PlayStation versions. Hopefully it will be a big success on PC, so a port can be done further down the line.

In the game you play as Cassie Thornton, a blind woman who has “extraordinary hearing” similar to the likes of Daredevil, who after months of research finds the house she sees in her dreams. The house isn’t empty though, occupied by a force called “the presence”, and similar to games such as Alien Isolation it is always trying to find you. Your not armed with any weapons, and have no more than a walking stick and a smartphone to help you out while you uncover the mysteries of the estate over generations.

Deep End Games so far have developed the game out of pocket, and wanted to get $150,000 in crowdfunding to finish it off. If they didn’t they would have explored other ways. Perception is expected to release on PC in 2016.
