Payday 2 gets a wealth of DLC on consoles

payday 2 overkillRe-releasing on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Payday 2: Crimewave Edition has been without any decent support for a few months now, but this week, that all changed. A wealth of free and premium content arrived for both platforms, giving fans more stuff to see and do, to live out their crime spree fantasies.

The Big Score offers access to 10 premium DLC packs, including 3 new Heists, 2 new character packs and more. You can pick it up for £29.99, which saves you about 30% on the individual downloads. You can buy each pack individually however, if you want to try out one of the missions before fully investing. The 10 premium DLC packs include:

  • The Pointbreak Heists – £4.99
  • The Alesso Heist – £4.99
  • The Golden Grin Casino Heist – £4.99
  • The Sokol Character Pack – £3.99
  • The Yakuza Character Pack – £3.99
  • Butcher’s AK/CAR Mod Pack – £3.99
  • Butcher’s BBQ Pack – £3.99
  • Butcher’s Western Pack – £3.99
  • The Gage Ninja Pack – £3.99
  • Gage Chivalry Pack – £3.99

As for the free stuff, players will be able to check out 20 free pieces of content, including the First World Bank Heist, Overkill Pack, Jacket Character Pack and more. These went live on Friday, following the premium Big Score stuff.

Payday 2 is a first person Heist ’em up, for up to four players. Take on various missions to rack up rewards and spend your cut on new weapons and gear for your characters. Unlock new masks to personalize your character, and work as a team to come out with the biggest profit.
