A certain candidate for Game of the Year 2016 due to its popularity and tight gameplay, Blizzard’s Overwatch is going to be having another free-to-play weekend. The event will begin on November 18th, and last until the 22nd.
The free-to-play Overwatch will require 12gb of hard drive space, which isn’t too bad to be honest, and it will grant you access to the currently available 22 heroes and 13 maps. Anything you unlock in game via Loot boxes can be yours to keep if you decide to buy the game at a later date too. It will surely be discounted around the time of the weekend to entice players who found themselves enjoying it.
The only caveat to some is that it requires an active PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscription. Well, it’s an online multiplayer game, and unfortunately, if you don’t have plans to get a subscription, this game wouldn’t be worth your time in the first place. PS+ and Gold are essential for online gaming, and fair enough if money is tight, that’s understandable, but they’re almost a necessity for the modern console gamer.
Anyway, if you want to see why everyone is talking about Overwatch all the time, next weekend is the right time to find out what all the fuss is about.
