Gamers have become accustomed to paying subscriptions for online gaming services like Xbox Live or PSN in order to play with friends, however “No Man’s Sky” will buck that trend and allow you to play with or without PS+.Hello Games have stated a number of times that the No Man’s Sky universe is so expansive that gamers are extremely unlikely to ever come across other players, in fact they seem so confident about this that they will not require you to have a PS+ Membership and the game even appears as single player on both the PlayStation and Steam stores. To clarify the situation a Sony representative told Game Informer Australia editor David Milner, who shared the information onTwitter.
Just confirmed with Sony: you don't need PS Plus to play No Man's Sky online. Some readers were confused by the language on this. Good news.

In other No Man’s Sky news, it appears that just weeks before release, the PC version has had its release date “tweaked”. Since the game was recently delayed it was assumed to be releasing on both PlayStation and PC on August 9th in North America, August 10th in Europe and across the rest of the world on August 12th, however the official No Man’s Sky page was updated yesterday to clarify the release schedule.
The game will be releasing on PlayStation 4 on August 9th in North America, August 10th in Europe and across the rest of the world on August 12th. The PC version will release worldwide on August 12th. Although Steam have updated their store page, at the time of writing GOG and Humble have yet to update the release date on their stores.
The good news is that the game is now only a matter of weeks away so it wont be long before we can begin exploring the game and uncovering its secrets. Are you excited for this game ? Are you buying it on PC and disappointed at this latest development? Let us know your thoughts below.
