Ubisoft have teased the first map to come to Rainbow Six Siege, as part of its Year 2 content. Operation Velvet Shell will be shown in greater detail in February during a live competitive event, but in the meantime have shared this teaser trailer.
“Set on the shores of the Spanish island of Ibiza, the Coastline map is just part of what Velvet Shell will offer,” says Ubisoft. We will of course receive two more Operators. So far we have had a wide range of operatives from various countries, but we have yet to see any from the Grupos de Operaciones Especiales, or GOE, who are the Spanish Special Forces. According to the Year 2 roadmap, we’ve seen that a Spanish flag is present so you may as well put money on these guys making an appearance.
You can check out the Xbox One and PC tournament via the game’s Twitch stream, which will run from February 3 through February 5. A release date for the update has not been confirmed yet.
Rainbow Six Siege is a game that has quickly built up a decent following due to its strategic, competitive gameplay which keeps bringing players back. For a shooter, it’s a breath of fresh air, but it’s ideally played with a squad of communicating friends. One worth adding to your collection.
