During the most recent Nintendo Direct (that is Fire Emblem centered), Nintendo has confirmed that a new installment in the mainline series of Fire Emblem will be released for the Nintendo Switch in 2018.
This will be the first Fire Emblem for a console since 2007’s Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.
This is not to be confused with Fire Emblem: Warriors, a game being developed by Koei Tecmo Games who produced Hyrule Warriors and other hack and slash games akin to the play-style of Dynasty Warriors. It was also announced that Fire Emblem: Warriors will be released on the 3DS alongside the Nintendo Switch counterpart later this year. With than and the recent addition of Fire Emblem: Heroes for mobile devices, It’s safe to say that Fire Emblem fans will have plenty of content to look forward to for in the future.
