CD Projekt RED have announced that they are currently working on a New Game Plus mode for The Witcher 3, meaning that you can restart the game with all your player experience, items and alchemy recipes carrying over.
The mode won’t be happening this week however as they are still working on it, but when it does come it will keep many of us busy for some time more… I for one am delighted to be able to spend another 150 hours in the game.
When you restart the game in NG+ mode enemies will also ramp up to higher difficulties giving you a far greater challenge. Also, if you have not reached level 30 as of yet, then the game will bump you to it. You will also be given a Clearing Potion so you can reset your skills and try a different build.
What you won’t be getting back are quest items, books and letters, as well as Gwent cards and trophies so you will have to go digging for them too. You will also lose usable items, though since you have the recipes you can just remake the potions again once you have the ingredients.
When restarting you can also chose whatever difficulty you want, and can earn the Death March achievement, so put that up to the max, because dieing is as fun as killing, because you learn every time.
What are your thoughts on the update? Will you be trying out NG+, or do you prefer a completely fresh start? Let us know in the comments!
