New screenshots and a gameplay trailer for the upcoming Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection have been released this week. It shows the helicopter scene from Uncharted 2 with improved visuals, and Sony have announced a demo coming this summer.
The Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection was announced in early June, and will come with Drake’s Fortune, Among Thieves, and Drake’s Deception revamped for PlayStation 4 with 1080p resolution and 60fps gameplay. Sony said that fans can “see for yourself when a playable demo launches on the PlayStation Store later this summer.”
The remastered collection is being handled by Bluepoint Games, who worked on ports of Flower, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, and The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection, according to Gamespot. It has already been announced that the Nathan Drake Collection will only feature the single player campaigns, and that all multiplayer functionality will be missing. The collection does come with future access to the Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta too, and the collection should be available on October 7th in the US, and October 9th in Europe.
Remasters have been a regular feature on the new generation of consoles, but it is collections like this and Halo: The Master Chief Collection that we find are the most welcomed.
