Mortal Kombat XL hinted at for PC, finally

mortal kombat xlMortal Kombat X launched in April last year, and despite getting two doses of DLK, only one of them found their way onto PC, and with the launch of Mortal Kombat XL, PC players were left eating konsole dust. They don’t like that, if they’re the elitist type. But everyone should be allowed enjoy a stellar game like this, and now PC players might be in luck.

At the end of June last year, Mortal Kombat kreator Ed Boon posted a poll on Twitter asking what news the kommunity wanted to hear regarding Mortal Kombat X. The choices were a release on PC, ESL tournament season 4, and balancing/buffing of fighters. Majority favoured a PC release, and rightly so.

Then on August 23rd, Ed Boon teased PC players again with a picture of a komputer’s motherboard, with a kryptic text. Read between the lines, and read the kapital letters. MKXLPC. See it? 😉

While Netherrealm Studios are currently slugging away on Injustice 2, it’s likely that Mortal Kombat XL will be ported by another developer, so here’s hoping it’s a worthwhile port, to help satisfy PC players who may have felt cheated and left out in the kold since its ‘Game of the Year’ release.
