Ah bejaysus Ted! What’s all this craic? Call of Duty Modern Feckin’ Warfare Remastered is getting some St Patrick’s Day themed loot to help celebrate Paddy’s Day this weekend? And what about Infinite shaggin’ Warfare? Isn’t that the game that came out last year? It is. So why is the 9 year old remaster getting new content? Beats me, JIm!
‘Operation: Shamrock & Awe’ will add a new map, offer a new Shamrock knife for peeling shpuds, a new camo and the possibility to unlock a new character skin. Not only that, but it also adds a new map called Daybreak. Daybreak is only during Operation: Shamrock & Awe, that turns Downpour upside down and replaces it with a lush, green countryside filled with St. Paddy’s day décor and a rainbow, naturally.
I’m not gonna start calling it racist, don’t you worry there and keep sipping on that Guinness. What confuses me is that this content is all locked behind the paywall that is Call of Duty: Infinite shaggin’ Warfare and its special editions. On my local GameStop website, the Legacy edition is still selling for €80 while the Legacy Pro edition is €130. $45 on Amazon, which is your best bet, and more attractive, certainly.
As for those of you who picked up Infinite Warfare on its own back in November, I guess you could say you’re … (•_•) ( •_•)>⌐■-■ (⌐■_■) out of luck!
Operation: Shamrock & Awe runs now through 12:01am PDT on April 3rd.
