During the summer, Minecraft received a fun new way to play in the form of pre-made mini-game variations. First, we got our cubed hands on Battle mode, which saw groups of players battle it out to win in close combat arenas. Today, a new mode called ‘Tumble’ is arriving.
Details haven’t been officially revealed just yet as of writing, but some players have had a chance to demo it on Youtube and by the looks of it, it looks brilliant. Players are placed on platform that’s only one block deep, and below that is lava. Be the last man standing by knocking out the floor below your opponents in a constantly decreasing arena. It will drop today on both Xbox and PlayStation platforms, and later in the week for the Wii U.
What’s even more fun is that a new update for both platforms will add new Achievements and Trophies. On the Xbox side, we can confirm that it is 6 new achievements worth 180 Gamerscore, and they focus on the mini-games themselves, giving you a reason to check them out if you haven’t already. You can check the full list out here on TrueAchievements.
In other Minecraft news, Boss Battles are coming in a future update for Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition beta, Pocket Edition and the Gear VR Edition.
“Survival players are in for a real treat with the Boss Update. Ocean Monuments will be discoverable, and you can enjoy adventuring in these new, rare locations with friends beneath the sea.
