Microsoft to host a game-centered media briefing in February

xbox media brief microsoftThis February, the Xbox boss Phil Spencer will take to the stage in San Francisco and talk about games, games, and mainly just games. The Microsoft event will be held in front of an audience, as well as being streamed worldwide. Expect Xbox One announcements and Windows 10 stuff too.

A posting by NeoWin says that those attending the show will have “the chance to hear from Head of Xbox Phil Spencer and get hands-on with the best games and platform experiences launching this spring on Xbox and Windows 10.”

While E3 is a long way off, not until June at least, we can expect to see a bunch of Xbox titles still to come that we know of, and that may surprise us. It is not known whether we’ll see anything new, but this would be an opportune time to showcase some new games, similarly to how Sony held their own PlayStation Experience event in Paris last year.

With Windows 10 integration, the latest Xbox One update that is previewing this week, and a wealth of first party games to look forward to, it could be an exciting event. The fact that it is being planned as a game-centric event makes us happy anyway! The event will take place on February 25th. Time is to be confirmed.
