The tower defence genre is a fun one, and ever since the original Plants vs Zombies, I’ve become a fan of them. South Park: Let’s Go Tower Defense Play and Defense Grid were two other fine variations, but another is entering the mix, and is now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. McDroid!
McDroid is a mix of action and tower defense gameplay, developed by the innovative team at Elefantopia. Prague studio Grip Digital, also known for current hit The Solus Project, is responsible for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ports of the PC version.
“When you mix creativity, tough action, gorgeous art style and lots of humor – you get McDROID. One of the most unique Tower Defense action games you can find in this part of the galaxy! We are proud of the game and can’t wait to see it in the hands of players on PS4 and Xbox One,” says Jakub Mikyska, co-founder and CEO of Grip Digital.
will be tasked with building a base and defenses, harvesting resources and discovering numerous crazy sci-fi weapons, as swarms of alien enemies try to take the brave ‘bot down. You can leave the dirty work to your automatic turrets, or you can join the fight yourself. McDROID is a game for players of all ages who are looking to test their wits and flex their trigger fingers.
It looks a bit mental, with some nice cel-shaded environments to run around and defend. It will only set you back $7.99 or your regional equivalent, so give it a shot!
