At E3 this year, we were treated to a fantastic looking new IP from Bioware, one that will surely put Mass Effect Andromeda at the back of our minds. Not that Andromeda was bad, it just wasn’t up there with the original trilogy. Speaking of which, here’s a worthwhile story for you involving Mass Effect and Anthem.
The first two Mass Effect titles were written by Drew Karpyshyn, who also wrote two Mass Effect novels before leaving Bioware to venture forth on his own book writing endeavor. Now it seems that he’s back, and is involved with the story of Anthem, Bioware’s latest online RPG MMO kind of thing that looks like Destiny but isn’t Destiny.
Drew Karpyshyn also worked on Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire and Neverwinter Nights and Baldur’s Gate. Have we teased you enough yet? If you somehow missed the gameplay reveal the first time around, boy are you in for a treat now!
Asked on Twitter by a fan if Drew would be involved in Anthem, he said:
Yes. Yes I am. 🙂

Exciting times! Anthem is due for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC sometime late in 2018, but so far it’s looking rather interesting. Let’s hope it doesn’t let us down!
