To commemorate the 46th anniversary this week, of the Apollo 11 lunar landing in July 1969, Wargaming.net is bringing the Lunar Mode back to World of Tanks on the Xbox 360 for this weekend only, until July 20th. Fight on the moon with your friends in a modified M24 Lunar tank that spouts a laser cannon instead of the traditional shells.
For many of us on the new generation of consoles, it’s sometimes hard to go back to our last generation consoles, if we still have them, but for this weekend, it might be worth your while booting up your copy of World of Tanks for the insane action that could be taking place. The fact that you’re fighting on the moon in tanks that fire lasers should be reason enough, but the gravitational difference also adds to the combat, being at one sixth of that of Earth’s gravity. What’s also worthwhile is that XP and silver earned on the Xbox 360 version also carries forward to the Xbox One version, which launches at the end of this month. This way, you can get back into the action, get some practice in, earn some rewards, and spend them on the updated version, and kick some ass too!
