Star Wars Battlefront fans will know that a third game was in development a long time ago, before LucasArts canceled it, leaving Free Radical to suffer the fate of dismantling the studio. It was a crying shame for the Timsplitters studio, as fans to this day still want more Timesplitters. A newly leaked video shows ground to space tech in Battlefront 3, and what could have been.
DICE and EA have no plans to include such a feature, much to the disappointment of die-hard Star Wars and Battlefront fans, who will only experience ground battles or dedicated air combat battles between X-wings and TIE Fighters this November.
The audio had to be taken out of the video due to Youtube’s strict policy on licensing, but you can see perfectly how Battlefront 3 would have looked, if the game wasn’t cancelled in 2006. We can only dream upon a Star Wars that the future will bring us more versatility and the ability to travel into the stars.
EA and DICE’s Star Wars Battlefront will release on November 17th this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, being a multiplayer only title.
