Two more games join the ever-growing list of backwards compatibility on Xbox One this weekend, with one of Netherrealm’s finest fighters in recent years being one of them. As for the second title, I can’t say I’ve heard of it, but let’s discuss both games in detail.
First up is Injustice: Gods Among Us by Mortal Kombat developer Netherrealm Studios. This is an ideal time for its backwards compatibility, with a sequel announced earlier in the year, due in 2017. Injustice: Gods Among Us is a 2D fighter set in the DC Comics universe with a roster that includes Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor, Cyborg, Flash and more.
The story mode is extensive and very well made, and is a comic book lover’s wet dream. Probably. There’s also local and online multiplayer and tonnes of challenges to beat allowing you to unlock new content. Great multi-map traversal too, if you pull of the right moves!

Haunted House is a remake of an Atari 2600 game from the 1980s. The remake reviewed terribly, with a Metacritic score of 50%. Probably not the game you want to be playing with backwards compatibility, but if you so happened to own it already, you may or may not be glad to have the opportunity to play it again!
