You know those plans that Call of Duty fans have been speaking of, of buying Call of Duty Infinite Warfare, downloading their remastered edition of Modern Warfare, and trading in the Infinite Warfare disc to recoup some of their losses? Well, that plan won’t actually work.
According to Charlie Intel, who are all about Call of Duty news and rumours, a new piece of fine print text states the following. “Modern Warfare Remastered is a full game download (game disc must be inserted to play Modern Warfare Remastered).” You can read it here yourself on the official game website.
With many fans eager to relive one of their favourite multiplayer experiences again this November, Activision aren’t making it easy on them. To be fair, they’re not doing anything wrong either; it’s a bonus addition which is costing you an extra bit of cash but what you’re getting is two highly produced titles to enjoy over the holidays in both Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered.
If you’re buy Call of Duty Infinite Warfare digitally, you won’t be affected in any way anyway, so don’t worry about it.
Will this new revelation deter you, or will you continue to follow through with your pre-order? Are you still sitting on the wayside, hoping that the remaster will come out in the new year as a standalone purchase?
