The 33rd Golden Joystick Awards took place last week, and many of the awarded titles were deserving. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was the ultimate winner, without question. You may not have watched the award ceremony, but you can do so below.
Featuring awards such as Best Original Game, Best Storytelling, Gaming Personality, Best Audio, Best Multiplayer and more, there’s a lot to get through, and you might have some time to spare this afternoon.
The Golden Joystick Awards, also known as the People’s Gaming Awards, is the second oldest game award ceremony after the Arcade Awards, by awarding the best home computer and video games of the year, as voted for by the British general public. As of 2015, the ceremony was in its 33rd year.
The awards were initially focused on computer games, but was later extended to include console games as well, following the success of video game consoles such as the Sega Master System and the Sega Mega Drive in the United Kingdom.
