If there’s one thing 343 Industries can be commended for, its their approach to the cinematic from the various Halo games they’ve been responsible for so far. The latest one, which was recently published by Microsoft, is taken directly from Halo 5: Guardians and introduces us to “Blue Team” at the beginning of the second mission. There isn’t much in terms of action as was the case with the Osiris opening cinematic, but that isn’t going to stop us from watching it a few more times.
As previously mentioned, this cinematic introduces players to the second mission of the Campaign, where Blue Team led by the man himself, Master Chief, are deployed to an abandoned ONI research facility which has been taken by opposing Covenant forces. Alongside the Chief in this clip is Spartan 104: Fredric, Spartan 087: Kelly and finally Spartan 058: Linda. Who will stand by Chief’s side when pitted against Fireteam Osiris. Unfortunately we don’t have much more in terms of details for the plot of Halo 5, but all will be revealed come October 27th when the game launches exclusively to Xbox One. Further details will be revealed via the up-coming animated show, Halo: The Fall of Reach, which will debut on the same day as the latest addition to the Halo series. Frankly we wouldn’t want to reveal too much anyway, as per our “no spoilers” policy. Anyway, here’s the cinematic for your enjoyment:
Furthermore, addition footage of a “play-through” emerged online shortly after the cinematic was published, showing additional game-play of the second mission from the perspective of Master Chief. We here at 4-One Gaming have chosen to deliberately avoid featuring this footage however, as we feel it infringes, yet again, on our no spoiler policy. However should you wish to view this footage, it was published by GamesRadar earlier today.
But then you wouldn’t want to leave this fantastic website just to ruin the second mission for yourselves… Would you? 😉 Let us know what you thought of the trailer in the comment section below!
