Yes, we know. The PlayStation 2 version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has been on the PlayStation Store for some time now, but last night, the updated mobile version released on the PlayStation Store. This port made its way onto the Xbox 360 known as GTA: San Andreas HD, when it was first discovered to be a port of the mobile version of the game.
The updated version comes with 720p resolution and better draw distances, as well as support for Trophies (equally accomplished like the Xbox Achievements), and it is also missing some of our favourite tracks from the soundtrack. It does look nicer, but in my experience of the 360 version, it stuttered every now and again. Whether this will remain the same on PS3 is yet to be seen, but if you want to download San Andreas HD, it will require 2.1gb of memory, and set you back £10.99 / $14.99.
You can see a Youtube video below without commentary, showing off the HD-ness of the Xbox 360 release. Would you be interested in picking this up, or is it a wasted opportunity releasing it on last gen platforms?
