Golden Joystick Award winners of 2016

golden joystick 2016The 34th Golden Joystick Awards took place on Friday, November 18 at the Indig02 at London’s O2 Arena last week, with some of your favourite games taking home a bunch of awards for being bloody deadly. Below, you can find the full list of winners, all voted for by the public as is standard with The Golden Joysticks.

Overwatch won quite a few trophies at the Golden Joystick Awards for being the best multiplayer game of the year, and best original game. Not bad going for a first-person shooter… The Witcher 3 also took home a few rewards for its Blood and Wine expansion, which I feel is cheating, is it not? It won loads of awards in last year’s Golden Joystick Awards, and rightly so. But DLC awards? Come on now…

Fallout 4 won best audio while Firewatch won best indie game. Pokémon GO won best innovative game which many of use would find it hard to disagree with. It got gamers out walking! Titanfall 2 picked up the Critics Choice award, while Rise of the Tomb Raider and Uncharted 4 won Game of the Year for their respective consoles, Xbox One and PS4.
