There’s something strange in the neighbourhood this morning on the PlayStation Store, with the unexpected arrival of Ghostbusters VR: Now Hiring, a game made specifically for the PlayStation VR headset. The game will apparently be episodic, and the first episode sees you run around the iconic base of the Ghostbusters.
However, gameplay is said to be limited, with about 15 minutes worth of gameplay to enjoy for the price of $6.99. You will encounter Slimer, some other ghouls, and the opportunity to sit in Ecto-1, the Ghostbusters’ car, and fire the proton pack. Hooray!
A Google Play version is also available to download, and while it says ‘Free’, there’s a paywall of $5 before you can actually enjoy it. The description says:
“Prepare to Answer the Call! Walk in and explore the iconic Ghostbusters firehouse, then hunt and capture a ghost! Use your smartphone and VR viewer to immerse yourself and feel the ectoplasm or launch 360 mode to find Slimer and explore the Ecto-1 without a VR viewer.”
