Following a rather successful and enjoyable beta period for Gears of War 4, it seems that fans were apparently unhappy with the visuals portrayed in a beta. Yes, a beta came under criticism for its graphics. Rod Ferguson, head of The Coalition has since uploaded a picture comparing the visuals then, to the visuals as of May 31st.
The Gears of War 4 beta was smooth, fast and extremely fun. The new weapons are a joy, and the additional game mode of Dodgeball added another level of intensity, with each squad death bringing the team closer to defeat unless you happened to kill an enemy to revive one of your teammates. Ecstatic stuff!
Rod Ferguson took to Twitter today to reassure fans that Gears 4 is still being developed and improved, and shared this comparison screenshot to put concerned minds at ease.

However, Gears of War 4 is due to release in October of this year, with a new cast of characters and a new enemy to discover and battle against, but fans still weren’t happy with the graphics. I thought it looked amazing, and with the combat being action packed, I didn’t really have time to take in the scenery. Nothing stood out as being dreadful either, and I was conscious of the fact it was a beta to test the gameplay and the servers.
Expect to see a lot more of Gears 4 at E3 next week, but in the meantime, watch the multiplayer trailer again, just because.
