Gears of War 4 has only been out a day (since last Friday if you picked up the Ultimate edition) and it’s already received its first update. Fans who have been playing the game since Friday have been providing the game’s developer with feedback.
Gears of War 4 developer, The Coalition have put a lot of time and effort into the game and show no signs of easing up with their post release support. Fans have been commenting how tight fisted the game was at dishing out credit rewards when finishing multiplayer matches. Fans also questioned the price of gear packs; they’re considered too high for the amount of credit you get.
Responding to this feedback the Gears of War 4 developer released a new update to adjust the values and price of the packs. The Elite Gear Pack, the most expensive option, now costs 3500 credits, instead of 4000. The payout you get from completing multiplayer matches has also been increased.
Whilst the Coalition didn’t say how much the credit rewards have been increased by, Reddit users have claimed that the rewards have gone up a 30-40%. Unfortunately there is a slight bug which is unfortunate where at the end of a match it will show that you’ve earned zero credit when in fact you have gained credits fine which can be seen by checking your total.
A fix for the new bug and also matchmaking and connectivity issues are already in the works and should be released soon. I’ve just finished the epic Gears of War 4 campaign and am now looking forward to heading into multiplayer and earning some credits.
