Game of Thrones composer scores Gears of War 4

gears of war 4 jdWhether it’s the bloodshed, the deaths, the plot twists, the opening theme or just the boobs, Game of Thrones has become one of the biggest shows to grace our TVs and streaming devices in the last few years. If it’s the soundtrack you admire most, then here’s some good news for you Gears of War 4 fans out there.

Ramin Djawadi, a veteran composer of film and TV, is handling the orchestral score for Gears of War 4. His work includes Game of Thrones, Prison Break, Pacific Rim, Iron Man, and Warcraft among hundreds of others.

Gears of War 4 won’t be his first dip of the toe into video games either, as Ramin has a solid background with titles such as Medal of Honor and its follow up, Warfighter, Need for Speed: Shift 2, and System Shock 2.

Whether we’ll see fans remake the ‘Peter Dinklage’ version of the Game of Thrones opening theme, replacing it with ‘Marcus Fenix’, we cannot confirm, but it has been going through my head since hearing this news last night!

Gears of War 4 promises an epic campaign with the players going forward 25 years after the Locust War, taking control of Marcus Fenix’ son J.D and his friends. Expect traditional multiplayer that will suck up hours of your life yet again, and then there’s Horde mode, which we know nothing about just yet!

Gears of War 4 will release October 11th on Windows PC and Xbox One. Niiiiice!
