A new gameplay trailer has dropped to its knees, head removed from its shoulders. Gun Media are hard at work on their dream project of Friday the 13th: The Game. It’s definitely not one for the young ones in the house, but for a group of adults, this could be the scariest Friday night in an online lobby.
The new Friday the 13th trailer showcases some of Jason’s executions, and boy are they sinister. What else were you expecting? He’s not trying to do it in the most entertaining fashion, but they’re certainly of the graphic variety. In case you haven’t been keeping tabs on the game, the original Jason actor, Kane Hodder is involved with the project too, performing the motion capture!
Friday the 13th: The Game is a third-person horror, survival game where players take on the role of a teen counselor, or for the first time ever, Jason Voorhees. You and six other unlucky souls will do everything possible to escape and survive while the most well-known killer in the world tracks you down and brutally slaughters you.
The entire focus of Friday the 13th: The Game is multiplayer. Survival is entirely up to you as you either stealthily hide from Jason or work together as a team to escape. Mirroring Camp Crystal Lake from the Friday the 13th series, players will try to survive in a camp ground setting. Complete with a lake, cabins, and crazed killer who won’t stop until you die a gruesome death.
This is a dream project. It’s an immense responsibility to do this right, for the fans. Every detail must be perfect.
