Dead Rising 4 lumbered onto the Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs ahead of Christmas, and today, fans can enjoy some free goodies in the form of extra difficulty levels and some enjoyable new costumes. There’s also a planned trial for gamers to try out to see if they like the game or not.
Today’s update will add two new difficulty levels, making the game a little harder. While those who played it enjoyed it, it is said that it was a bit on the easy side compared to previous entries in the series. The new difficulty modes will mean enemies do more damage, Frank’s weapons break faster and food restores less health than before.
Five new costumes will also become available, which you can find in your in-game wardrobe. These are all taken from Street Fighter, some of which you can see below.
As stated above, a free trial will go live for players to check out the game for the first time. The trial will allow new players to earn achievements and carry saved game progress into the full game should they decide to purchase at the end of the trial period. Players can experience both single player Story Mode as well as Multiplayer during the trial period. The demo goes live tomorrow, January 31st.
In other great news, Dead Rising 4 will release in Germany tomorrow as well, a series first for the European country! It will be available on both Xbox One and Windows 10, so be sure to check that out!
