Detailed on the PlayStation Blog, August will bring new maps, vehicles, game modes and trophies to the game, some free and some paid (at a fair price).
One of the paid DLC packs is The Supersonic Fury DLC Pack, costing €3.99, and will add two new cars to the game. These are Dominus, an American muscle car, and Takumi, a Japanese street racer, both of which will have six new decals for each.
As for the free DLC, a new map called Utopia Coliseum will be added as well as 70 country flags (AngryJoe might get his Puerto Rico flag after all), updates to goal and demolition explosions, a new song from Hollywood Principle and a Spectator Mode (some commentary would be a cool addition with that).
Psyonix yesterday Tweeted that Rocket League has been downloaded over 5 million times, no doubt helped on by being a PlayStation Plus offering, which you can still pick up until August 4th free. It is also very popular on Steam costing €19.99.
AMAZING! More than 5 MILLION downloads since we launched on July 7! Your continued support for our game is truly humbling. Thank you.
