Two more backwards compatible titles have arrived this month for Xbox One , with Disney’s Castle of Illusion and Forza Horizon. Horizon will be available to all Xbox Live Gold members tomorrow as part of September’s Games with Gold, but if you have it now, fire it up and start racing.
Forza Horizon sees you trying to prove yourself at the Horizon festival in Colorado, which hosts an annual music and racing gathering. You will earn wristbands that let you take part in harder and faster racing challenges, as well as invitational events that see you racing against planes. The soundtrack is phenomenal too, so enjoy it!
Disney’s Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse is a single player platformer game, which sees Mickey on a quest to save Minnie Mouse from the clutches of an evil witch named Mizrabel. Get it? She ain’t happy. Each level features a boss fight, and like Mario, Mickey can bounce on enemies to defeat them.
I have more experience with World of Illusion, which I was mixing up with Castle of Illusion. World of Illusion added a two player turn based option and also featured Donald Duck. It has also been reported that at the end of this week, Castle of Illusion will be removed from the Xbox Live Arcade store, so if you want it, you should buy it ASAP. It’s odd that it’s being made backwards compatible on such short notice, and probably won’t see the light of day ever again. However, if you buy it, it’s yours to keep.
