As expected this year, Playground Games revealed Forza Horizon 3 to the world during the Xbox E3 media briefing. The colours, the sounds, the music, the speed. It was glorious. This September, players on Xbox One and Windows 10 will be able to jump onto Xbox Live and race together, or competitively.
Horizon 3 takes us to the gorgeous surroundings of Australia, with its lush beaches, forests, and open roads. The game world will be twice the size of Forza Horizon 2, although I was personally counting on three times the size at minimum. Still, Forza Horizon 2 gets played regularly enough by myself along with its older brother, the Motorsport series, and I can’t wait for this one.
Forza Horizon 3 will launch with 350 cars, each now utilizing the ForzaVista feature introduced in the Motorsport series. Each vehicle will also have working lights and window wipers, for when the rain or mud obstructs your view of the road.
“In Forza Horizon 3, you are in charge of the Horizon Festival. You have the power to modify race events, hire and fire your friends, and customize everything, from your driver character, to new body kits – even your own car horn sound.”
Forza Horizon 3 will be available on September 27th for Xbox One and Windows 10. Let’s hope our liveries and tunes can be exported from Horizon 2 and Forza 6!
