The whirlwind success of Five Nights at Freddy’s has led to a number of sequels being released in relatively short succession and now there is a trailer for the final game in the series. Originally little more than an enjoyable jump scare factory, Five Nights appealed to the imagination of its fans who helped to shape it into something more. Now a hugely popular series with a deep and bizarre lore it’s now ready to show off Five Nights at Freddy’s 4: The Final Chapter.
If you’ve ever played a Five Nights game you’ll know exactly what to expect from this trailer. It’s all about the dark corridors, creepy animatronics, and limited battery life. Fittingly the game will be launching this Hallowe’en. It’s hard to guess what twist the game will feature but it seems certain that the developer, Scott Cawthon, will have something planned so as to guarantee the series ends on a high. Each game so far as led to fresh speculation and theorising on the dark back story of these creepy games and Cawthon has already proven himself very capable of providing just enough detail to let the fans build a fascinating story out of it all.
While this may be the last game it certainly won’t be the last we hear about Freddy Fazbear. Last month Warner Bros. picked up the rights to a film adaptation and are planning to create a full feature film out of the Five Night’s at Freddy’s saga. The film’s producer, Seth Grahame-Smith, intends to make it an “insane, terrifying and weirdly adorable movie.”. Grahame-Smith is best known as the author of ‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” and “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” so if anybody can turn this into an “insane” movie then it’s surely him.
