Hot on the heels of a super well received release of Farming Simulator 17 last year, Giants Software have this week announced Farming Simulator 18 for PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS. However, according to tweets by the game’s official Twitter account, it could too be coming to the Nintendo Switch as well.
That said, it doesn’t specify whether the Nintendo Switch will receive the mobile version of Farming Simulator, or the console/PC version. The difference lies in the year on the box. Odd numbered years (15, 17) are for PC and consoles, while even numbered years (16, 18) are mobile/handheld versions. The account confirms a ‘Switch version’, but what version?

In the meantime, Giants Software have revealed their first set of screenshots for Farming Simulator 18, as well as sharing a few details about the game. It will include “a new environment, a host of new vehicles and brands, new crops, new animals and more!”
“Become a modern farmer in Farming Simulator 18! Immerse yourself in a new engaging Southern US environment, harvesting wheat, canola, corn, sugar beet, potatoes and, for the first time, sunflowers. Take care of your livestock with new animals to breed and transport, as pigs are now joining the indispensable sheep and cows!
Also take part in forestry – an activity new to the Nintendo 3DS version. Sell your products on a dynamic market to expand your farm. As your career progresses, gain access to a huge selection of over 50 farming vehicles and machines. These are faithfully recreated from over 30 of the biggest names in the industry, including, for the first time, AGCO’s most respected brands: Challenger, Fendt, Massey Ferguson and Valtra.”
Farming Simulator 18 will be available June 2017 on PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS at retail, and for download on the PlayStation®Store and Nintendo eShop.
