During Bethesda’s E3 press conference, they revealed Fallout Shelter for the iOS, a free-to-play mobile game which has already amassed $5 million in revenue since its release on the eve following the conference. It has now been given an Android release date of August 13th.
Fallout Shelter puts you in the role of Vault Overseer, as you build new rooms and services for your vault dwellers, which you must amass to explore the wasteland to find new resources to progress further to build a bigger vault. You can spend real life money on Lunch boxes to find new guns and other useful gear, or just unlock the items through gameplay. Fallout Shelter doesn’t have an end game, but it’s a fun experience, especially for free, and it might be worth your while checking it out when it comes to Android next month.
