Bethesda have released the trailer for the first Fallout 4 add-on, Automatron. The DLC will be available to play next week on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and is the first part of the Season Pass content.
“In Automatron, the mysterious Mechanist has unleashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, including the devious Robobrain. Hunt them down and harvest their parts to build and mod your own custom robot companions. Choose from hundreds of mods; mixing limbs, armor, abilities, and weapons such as the all-new lightning chain gun. Even customize their paint schemes and choose their voices!”
The Mechanist was mentioned in Fallout 4 during the Silver Shroud side mission, but has not been found in the game otherwise. He first appeared in Fallout 3. After Automatron, fans can look forward to the Wasteland Workshop add-on in April, followed by the Far Harbor expansion in May, which will add a brand new location to explore outside of the Commonwealth area. In the meantime, we look forward to seeing what kind of crazy and wacky robot creations the Fallout community comes up with in Automatron.
Stay tuned to the Bethesda blog (and 4-One!) for more details in the future on free updates like Survival Mode and the Creation Kit, which will allow you to create mods on the PC and then share and play them across all platforms, including consoles.
