Elder Scrolls Online: Imperial City DLC release date announced

Elder Scrolls OnlineBethesda have announced a release date alongside new details in regards to the first of Elder Scrolls Online’s expansion packs, Imperial City. PC/Mac players will be the first to experience the DLC on August 31st of this year, whereas Xbox One users will have to wait until September 15th with PlayStation 4 users getting it a day later.

Furthermore, additional details were also released, Bethesda have boasted that the expansion will bring hours of new gameplay to the MMORPG introducing players to new areas, quests, enemies as well as new items and equipment. The story behind the DLC lies within Imperial City, which has been overrun by Daedric Prince Molag Bal, players will be tasked with fighting against the Daedric enemy.

– Level 10 players and above can experience the new content

– New PvP/PvE areas, including 6 new Imperial City Districts

– New quests and characters within the Imperial City

– New Public PvP Dungeon: The Imperial Sewers

– 2 PvE group Dungeons with Normal and Veteran difficulty options: White – Gold Towers, Imperial City Prison

– The Tel Var Stone system

– 23 new Veteran Rank 16 item sets

– Treasure Vaults containing new Veteran Rank 16 Jewelry sets with additional opportunities for rarer finds

– New collectibles including pets, polymorphs and costumes

Bethesda have also announced a new patch to launch alongside the Imperial City expansion pack for all platforms consisting of “hundreds of bug fixes and improvements” in a variety of areas such as combat mechanics, classes, quests, dungeons and more. Here’s a short summary of the patch notes:

– 15% decreases in amount of XP it takes to gain a Veteran RankElder Scrolls Online

– 100% more experience for public dungeons

– 50% more experience for Veteran Rank quests

– 20% more experience in Craglorn

– Increased Veteran Rank to 16

– Racial Passive Ability improvements

– Mundus Stone buff improvements

– Improvements to existing item sets

– The introduction of a feature to hide mount visual upgrades

– New crafting skill line passive abilities

– New Undaunted Pledges

– Combat/Gameplay balance changes

– Improved end-of-campaign Alliance War Rewards
