EA task force Forces removal of leaked Battlefront Alpha footage

star wars battlefrontThis week, a select bunch of PC players were granted access to an alpha version of Star Wars Battlefront, one of EA’s biggest releases of this year. In the end user agreement, players were warned not to upload footage of gameplay to any video hosting site. Well guess what…?

Since a large amount of players broke the rules, EA tasked a force of staff members to shut down any videos that were being hosted on Vimeo, Daily Motion and Youtube among others, and finding a video clip now is proving rather difficult. What players have also discovered through the files of the Battlefront Alpha code, is details of the weapons and vehicles currently available, although this is subject to change before the final release in November.

The Battlefront footage initially uploaded showed off single player Survival mode, along with Walker Assault on Hoth, as seen in the E3 demo this year. Here’s one that’s still active, for now….

The weapons uncovered so far include the E11, A280, DH17, DL44, DLT19, DLT20a, EE3, Rocket Launcher, SE14c, and the T21. If you’re a hardcore Star Wars fan, you might recognise these guns. If you’re not, like me, you’ll just see letters and numbers.

Vehicles found on the files include the T-65 X-wing, the Tie Fighter, Lambda Shuttle, Y-wing, Tie-Bomber, Corellian Corvette, Nebulon B Frigate, Imperial Star Destroyer, Mon Calamari Capital Ship Home One, AT-ST, AT-AT, Tie Interceptor, 74-Z Speeder Bike.
