Earlier this week, 343 Industries and Xbox released a new live action tv spot trailer for Halo 5: Guardians. In it, it told the tale of how the Master Chief was killed in action, and the short clip showed the population feeling for his loss. It was touching. It made it out that the Chief was gone. We know he’s not gone though, because he’s in Halo 5.
Below, you can see the initial trailer from earlier in the week, which shows the people’s reaction to hearing the news of Master Chief’s end.
Last night, a follow up clip came out, telling the story from the other side. The unofficial side. Showing Master Chief himself alive and well, with a few scratches, in the midst of a warzone surrounding by crumbling buildings. We then learn again of Spartan Locke’s mission to hunt down the Chief and put a stop to him. You can see this one below:
Halo 5: Guardians will be available on October 27th for Xbox One, and we’re looking forward to seeing how this epic campaign and story will play out. Then there’s the multiplayer. It’s going to be a big year for shooters, but which one will come out on top?
