David Jaffe, the creator of God of War and the Twisted Metal series new title is almost upon us, and PlayStation Blog had a chance to sit down and talk to him about it. Drawn to Death is a competitive shooter that looks refreshing, fun, and familiar, as we’ve all doodled in school.
“Third person competitive multiplayer only hybrid shooter slash brawler, set entirely in the pages of a highschool student’s notebook.” How’s that for a tagline? Imagine bringing that description to a publisher and getting funding! Well, it seems to have worked, and from the trailer below, it looks amazing!
Drawn to Death will feature a maximum of 4 player combat, requiring you to learn and outsmart your opponents, and will feel less punishing in this way, cutting out the excess madness that comes with massive multiplayer titles we’re now familiar with.
Each of the characters will have a unique look and play style, not to mention abilities and weapons. One of those weapons is called a ‘Shaxe’, and as it should, it combines a shotgun with an axe. Character names are just as interesting, with the shark-headed character going by the name of ‘Ninjaw’. She can grapple across the map for quick navigation. Madness!
Drawn to Death launches exclusively on PlayStation 4 on April 4th, and I think it’s penciling into your diary. Am I right? 😉
