Dragon Age: Inquisition Stops Supporting Last Gen

Dragon Age Jaws of HakkonBioWare have announced that Dragon Age: Inquisition will not see any further DLC on PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. They will however be offering a save importer to allow you to transfer your save files from PS3 to PS4 and Xbox 360 to Xbox One.

The news was revealed yesterday on BioWare’s official blog. So far the studio have released three DLC packs; Jaws of the Hakkon, Spoils of the Avvar and the free content, ‘Dragonslayer’. These will comprise the only contents that support the older consoles with all future DLC only being available for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

If you have previously purchased Jaws of the Hakkon or Spoils of the Avvar on the older consoles you will be able to download themdragonslayer  free of charge on the PS4/Xbox One using the same PSN or Live account that originally purchased it. Unfortunately the same offer is not extended to the base game. As is the usual case for offers of this nature you cannot transfer PS3 to Xbox One or Xbox 360 to PS4.

When importing saves you will only be able to transfer 1 at a time and importing an additional save will overwrite the previous one. The feature will be added as part of Patch 8 later this month. A detailed walkthrough and FAQ of the process is available on the Dragon Age website. Fans of the multiplayer will also be relieved to discover that they can also transfer their multiplayer data, however it is important to note that unlike the single player this can only be performed once.
