One of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare’s developers has gone on record, saying that he contacted the modern day Infinity Ward saying ‘Don’t f**k it up’. Having quit Infinity Ward and started Titanfall development studio Respawn Entertainment, the last thing he wants to see is the remaster failing.
Vince Zampella was involved with Infinity Ward and Call of Duty for some time, before a nasty lawsuit which saw him and Jason West departing, to join up with EA. While speaking to Eurogamer during an E3 interview about Titanfall 2, due this October, Zampella said about the Modern Warfare Remaster “I told them – don’t f*** it up,” he laughed. “That’s my on the record response. I rang them up and said, honestly, don’t f*** it up. It’s a huge part of people’s gaming memories.”
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is being developed by Raven Software, while the main Infinity Ward team work on Infinite Warfare, the sci-fi set title releasing this year. Raven Software are responsible for games like Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, Wolfenstein (2009) and have assisted with the majority of recent Call of Duty titles, starting with DLC for the original Black Ops.
