Anti-aug posters running the phrases, “Are your children safe”, “Protect our Future” and “Keep our Streets Human” side by side with other real posters might have been a bit of a shock to those who didn’t know what they were. No doubt Tumblr already have a posts condemning them.
The website linked on the posters, AugAware.org, isn’t anything special sadly, only linking back to the official site, however there is something else of interest in the form of a QR code at the bottom right of each of them.
These codes lead to some more posters, but this time they are on the opposite side, with posters saying, “Don’t Let Them Tear Us Apart. We Are Stronger Together”, “Machines Don’t Bleed, Augmented do!” and “Stand With Us, Stop The Division”.
I hope a newspaper goes off and thinks this entire thing is real, like when UK newspaper The Sun thought Sarif Industries was a real business and they were working on a real cybernetic eyeball. I wonder if the Daily Mail will run a piece in support of the anti-aug campaign?
