It looks like this year’s big Destiny update has been leaked, according to an image revealed to Kotaku yesterday. While a Destiny sequel was initially planned for 2016, it was delayed according to earlier reports, and Rise of Iron looks like its stand-in content update.
The obtained image from Reddit shows the Iron Banner boss Lord Saladin standing amongst some wolves in a snowy location. Is it the Cosmodrome? Does it relate to the previous DLC called House of Wolves? I don’t know, but feel free to start speculating.
The next Destiny update is due in September, which seems like this update in particular. We will most likely learn more about it during the Sony media briefing at E3 next month, who have the marketing rights to Activision’s MMO-ish shooter.
Rise of Iron will contain a new raid which is “based loosely on the raid that was cut from last year’s House of Wolves DLC,” according to Kotaku‘s sources, and should be as chunky on content as last year’s The Taken King. I’m sure many of you Guardians will be excited for this news, but what else are you hoping to see added to Destiny with, or before this update?
