After a successful silver screen movie, it’s no surprise to find Deadpool high on everyone’s list of favourite komic book kharacters. With his dirty mouth, sense of humour and violent style of fighting, we’re even more excited to learn that he will soon be koming to Mortal Kombat X!
In a recent post online, Ed Boon, the kreator of Mortal Kombat said “After watching Deadpool twice in one weekend, I felt it was only right to talk to Marvel about putting him in our game. His style, his move set and his look would fit perfectly on screen with the likes of Scorpion and Kotal Kahn. Having him blurt out a comment about each of his opponents pre-fight will be hilarious.”
Deadpool has so far grossed $746 million worldwide as of last weekend, becoming the highest grossing R-rated film in history. Deadpool had his own game in 2013 on the PS3 and Xbox 360, which was then ported to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One late last year. He also appeared in Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. He certainly has the moves and a history of video game fighting so fitting into Mortal Kombat X shouldn’t be too hard for Merc with a Mouth.
A single screenshot of Deadpool has been released, showing him on the kharacter select screen. “We expect Deadpool to be available later this month for £4.01,” Boon added. We can’t wait to see his Chimichanga fatality, or how he skewers his opponents and turns them into a f**king kebab.
