According to Gamingbolt, a Reddit user has datamined the PC version of Metal Gear Solid V, and found that the game had 8 completely missing missions. It’s well known at this point that some content was cut, but this is a relatively new find.
The dataminer included a link showing his findings, which you can see here. We’ve screenshotted the info for you below, with the ‘N’ column signifying the content is not in the game. GamingBolt point out that this could be content locked out to be released as DLC, with Konami yet to announce any post launch content.
“It’s hard to say at this point and with Konami not giving any official statement regarding future story DLC, other than a no plans at the moment statement. However, please take this information with a grain of salt as we have not verified the information ourselves so this article stands as a rumor for now.”
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was well received by fans and critics, but the story telling and plot was a little lackluster compared to previous Metal Gear titles. It has sold well, there’s no doubt about that, and with Metal Gear Online now up and running, will this game be talked about long into the future, or will it be a flash in the pan for the series?
