Last week, EA announced that the winner of UFC 194 between Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo would feature alongside Ronda Rousey on the box for UFC 2, releasing next year. Well, if you haven’t heard already, McGregor punched his way to victory in 13 seconds, becoming the Featherweight champion last night.
The Fight for the Cover promotion comes after the EA curse was proven to follow any sporting division, with Ronda suffering a loss in the same week of her box art appearance announcement. Whether Conor McGregor will lose his next fight is to be seen, but it’s fantastic to see an Irishman gracing the box art of an EA title. UFC 2 will release in the spring of 2016.
