Conan O’Brien reviews Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5

conan o'brien tony hawkConan O’Brien’s now famous Clueless Gamer segment returns with another episode, this time reviewing the return the latest game in the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series. Alongside him are Tony Hawk himself, and Lil Wayne…

It starts off with Conan making a few jokes with Lil Wayne over his tattoos, and his lack of space for new tattoos, at which point Lil Wayne basically confirms that what Conan was joking about, is actually a thing for Lil Wayne. Sigh…

As for the gameplay, they can’t use the real music in game due to licensing reasons, so Conan applies his own sombre music much to the audiences’ amusement. The first thing that will strike you is the character models. They look a bit…. Gamecube/PS2? Can I say that? Compared to the likes of anything on the current platform, it already looks dated.

An amusing section towards the end is when Conan quizzes Tony Hawk on a list of moves, asking him to state whether they’re skate moves or sexual positions. Unfortunately, as a whole, the review is more about Lil Wayne than Tony Hawk himself, despite being his game. It’s not the best Clueless Gamer we’ve seen, but it’s still good for gaming to see it getting decent airtime (no skateboard pun intended).
