Platinum Games and Activision have an awesome looking new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game on the way, and they have released new videos for each of the characters who you know and love from your childhood.
The trailer gives you 30 seconds of viewing pleasure for each of the characters; Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michaelangelo. Set in the open sandbox world of Manhattan, fight alone or in co-op with up to three friends as you tackle the Foot Clan and Shredder, as well as Krang and other well known baddies from the Turtles universe.
“Made with PlatinumGames’ one-of-a-kind brand of high-intensity gameplay and eye-popping visuals, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan is a third-person team brawler that supports single-player and four-player online co-op. Upgrade and equip your squad with the best weapons and abilities, then face off against the Foot’s mightiest bosses, including Shredder, General Krang, Karai, Bebop, Rocksteady, Armaggon, Wingnut and Slash. The game also features colorful, cel-shaded graphics and an original story with comic attitude from IDW Publishing author Tom Waltz”.
While there appears to be complaints on the internet (no really?!!) about the visual format of the game, I for one am excited for this. Sure, it’s cel-shaded and looks like Borderlands 2, but comparing it to the likes of a PlayStation 2 game is a bit insulting. It looks fast, action packed, and has a touch of humour to it.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan is expected to launch in North America on May 24th as a retail and digital release on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Steam.
