If like me, you had a particular target in mind for Black Friday, and you visited a particular website hoping to find a good deal, just to be let down. This happened this morning on the Cards Against Humanity website. Last year for Black Friday, they sold a box of horse poop, and 30,000 people bought them. This year, they’re not selling poop, just taking your money.
For today only, their website URL directs you straight to their store page, and if you were interested in buying the card game legitimately, you’re out of luck. What you can do however, is give the company $5. You won’t get anything in return, but they will happily take your money.
It’s a funny anti-Black Friday move by Cards Against Humanity, who disagree with the annual sales tradition. At the time of writing, visitors have ‘donated’ $1,910, hopefully knowing they’re getting nothing in return. It’s worth reading their FAQ section under the main banner, so check it out and have yourself a chuckle. I guess I’ll have to buy Cards Against Humanity another time then.
4-One Gaming shall not be held responsible if visitors unknowingly spend $5 on nothing while visiting their site.
