Ubisoft are continuing to extend their range of party titles on consoles and PC, with the announcement of UNO for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. After a pretty dodgy release of Tetris, can Ubisoft get this classic title right for launch?
My first thought when I read this news was “Hang on, this should be backwards compatible on Xbox One”, but after a refreshing search, I realised that Carbonated Games are not involved with this version. Carbonated Games were a first party Microsoft studio who developed arcade titles between 2004 and 2008, but now Ubisoft are publishing UNO for all platforms.
UNO is a card game for up to 4 players. You can play it with a camera active too, to see your opponents. The aim of the game is to try and lose all of your cards, and when placing the last one, you must say ‘Uno’ or else you get penalised and have to pick up another.
There will be features such as customised house rules and the ability to change card decks to themed ones, such as Rabbids.
UNO is set for release on August 9th, and it’s a good, fun party game to play with friends online, with or without the camera.
